The Michigan International Camporee,
hosted by the
Chief Okemos Council, Boy Scouts of America, is the largest council-run
multinational Scouting event in North America. Once every four years,
contingents of Scouts, both all boys and mixed boys and girls, from over 20
countries, gather for 8 days of international friendship and fellowship at the
Chief Okemos Council’s
Northwoods Scout Reservation. To learn more about the Michigan
International Camporee, download the participant handbook (Word
or
PDF format) or visit the
Photo Gallery from the 2004 camporee.
The next Michigan International Camporee
is scheduled for the week of July 27 to August 3, 2008, with home stays for
international contingents with mid-Michigan families the week before. To become
part of our email list for that event, contact us at
mic2008@comcast.net. Please state your Scout unit, city, state, and country
in your message.
