The
BSA International Activity Patch (#00144) is a 3-inch diameter
patch which is worn as a TEMPORARY EMBLEM on the right pocket of
the uniform to recognize participation in unit, council, and world
scouting international activities. It is NOT worn in place of or
alongside the World Crest emblem. There is also a 5-inch jacket
patch (#00145) available for authorized wear.
Each local Council has the authority to determine requirements for the patch. There is no time restriction for earning the International Activity Patch.
In the Chief Okemos Council, to earn the BSA International Activity Patch, a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturer, or Adult Leader must either:
Do one of the following:
Participate in the Michigan International Camporee
Be part of a Michigan International Camporee Host Family
Participate in the World Jamboree
Participate in a Scout jamboree in another country that lasts at least 7 days
Participate in a troop, crew, or council trip to one or more other countries that lasts at least 7 days
Or do three of the following:
Participate in a Michigan International Camporee home stay week activity *
Participate in Michigan International Camporee Visitors Day
Participate in a weekend camporee in Canada *
Participate in the Jamboree on the Air *
Participate in the Jamboree on the Internet *
Participate in a council activity with an International Scouting theme *
Earn the BSA Interpreter Strip
Earn Citizenship in the World Merit Badge
Earn the World Conservation Award
Participate in a Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, or Venturing Advisor approved International Scouting activity

The unit leader will certify members of a unit who qualify for the
International Activity Patch.
